Hello! I figured out how to log in here! and also upload a picture. My name is J'aime, spelled fancy, just pronounced like "Jamie." I did Super Basics a while back, and then wandered off to try another piano course. Shockingly, it wasn't as fun, so now I'm back to be a Creative Pianist. I'm working on Songs By Ear now.
For favorite piano music, I have a soft spot for Neil Finn's last solo album, Out of Silence. He's on piano for the whole album, with family members sitting in, as well as a whole choir of guest vocalists, plus lots of string players. Guarantee Ruth knows who Neil Finn is (LOL) but I got re-introduced to him only because I married a New Zealander. My fellow Americans of the appropriate age may remember a 90s song, Don't Dream, It's Over, by a band called Crowded House? He was the front man. They seemed like a one hit wonder, but only in the U.S., not the rest of the civilized world.
Best meal: I'm actually dressed for this date in my profile pic. My husband's parents sent him some birthday money which he decided to spend by taking me to dinner at the best restaurant in town. 😘 We made sure to spend all of it by having appetizers, wine, dessert, the works. It was amazing. I hope they send him money again this year. 😁
