@RuthPower Went through Riff Thief today. I knew #1 # through #4. #5 Sounded familiar, but I couldn't come up with it. Did I miss something in the Demo with Imagine?
I tried Riff Challenge IV. The trickiest part of that for me was actually coming up with something that fit the drum beat. I have zero experience playing with anyone else, so that was a challenge. Playing the examples with the drum beats is different, because it's already planned out, you just have to keep time. I think I did OK with changing up a 4/4 rhythm to a 3/4. Never did anything like this before, so hopefully I didn't mangle the application of it. This is what I did.
I used a variation of Riff 3,4,5, & did 2 different hand combinations with the same count. 1 2 + 3.
The 1st was: Both hands together (L power chord, R triad) on 1, RH triad on 2, L thumb tap on +, R triad on 3
The 2nd was: Both hands together (L power chord, R triad) on 1, L thumb tap on 2, thumb tap on +, L thumb tap on 3.
I welcome feedback on what I did so I can work this more in the future.
I noticed that Riff Challenge V is also out. Saving that for another day. Doesn't seem very difficult. I think it will fit really well.
