Hi Everyone, I haven't been very active in this Forum but I HAVE been working on the modules. Just finished the last one this evening. I'm pleased with how quickly I can pick them up, once I go through the videos and practice tracks several times. Even the more challenging rhythms eventually get under my fingers, so that's great. Having the sheet music really helps to see how the rhythms actually count out and work against each other. I always seem to be more comfortable with sheet music but am trying to get away from it! But for learning purposes, it really helps. Thanks for including this @RuthPower.
What I haven't been so good at is actually incorporating the riffs into actual songs. To date, I've been learning and playing songs mostly from sheet music and not playing so much from chord charts and lead sheets. But I'm going to try to do more of this and look for places to include all these wonderful new riffs. (However, how am I ever going to remember them all!!!) I'm currently working on a great Norah Jones song, "Shoot the Moon", that I love so I'll try them there to start. It sounds like some of you have already been much more adventurous than I have!
Thanks @RuthPower, for a great course and all your hard work and support! And good luck to all of you in your musical journeys. Aren't we lucky to have music in our lives!
