Look, I am all for social connection on a platform that is accessible to everyone, but myyyy goodness am I so completely over Facebook. 😅
You might be surprised to hear that given that I'm very active on it for Piano Picnic - believe me, I have been looking for a way to take my community away from it for a long time.
So here we are - and I'm excited at what this community means for us!
This is where we can all talk about piano, our journey as pianists, any questions you have about anything to do with piano, any discussion of the Piano Picnic courses & coaching, or to be honest, ANYTHING anyone might be interested in! 😁
Here's a few ground rules:
- No hate speech, discrimination, rudeness, any 'ism's, or unkindness. There may be cause once in a while to constructively critique someone's performance (if they have asked for this!), or disagree with an opinion in discussion, all completely wonderful but any hint of yucky conduct and you'll be cut out. This is necessary to create an open, safe & trusting space.
- Don't be a lurker - if you've logged in, try to do something to build the vibe here - whether that's to agree, or to say something encouraging, or simply upvote a post. This community will only be a cool place to be if you are involved!
- No yucky stuff - if anyone posts spam, or links to lewd content you will be chucked out.
- Don't share personal information – such as physical address, phone number, password... this forum software is not owned by me so I cannot guarantee privacy of publicly posted information.
How to get started:
- Go to your profile, add a picture of YOU & change your username to your real name–even just your first name. (Why? This is to encourage real, authentic discussion and avoid the vitriol & lack of connection that comes from anonymity on the internet!)
- Introduce yourself in the 'This is me' post!👋
- Browse the discussions to see what interests you! 👀
- Start your own discussion on anything you can think of to do with piano! ☎
- Bookmark this forum on your browser! 🔖
